We are always ready to have fun in the great outdoors! Some of the activities include canoeing, hiking, setting up camp, learning the many different fishing skills, survival skills, and team building.
We always encourage our kids that team work is important especially in the great outdoors. We acknowledge that none of us were created exactly alike; one persons strength might be the other persons weekness. By building on eachother's strength, we have the opportunity to learn from one another, build lasting friendships, and of course catch more fish!
Campfire time is one of our favorite moments throughtout our trips. Besides roosting marshmellows and late night hotdogs, this is a time of fellowship, reflection and when we all come together to share what's on our hearts, listen and sing along to worship music, share funny fish/camp stories from the past, and most importantly to share a words of encouragment from the Bible.
We encourage to give back to our community. During the winter season, we buy socks to passout for homeless men, women, and children. We write our favorite scripture on each pair of socks and share the word. During this time, the boys learn that it's not only about recieving but about giving. They really enjoy being able to also fill a need even if they too are in need. God provides for all.
GULF COAST FISHING
One of the biggest highlights of the year is our annual trip to the coast for two days. As a reward for good behavior during previous trips, at school, and home, we take the kids to experience fishing at Matagorda Bay. We set up camp on the beach and enjoy fishing, swimming, building sand casltles, and campfires under the stars.
One of the ultimate goals of our outreach is to encourage our young kids to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to tell others of His goodness. We encourage our kids to join a local bible believing church, so they will grow spiritually and become strong young men of God.
